When Sandy Larkin was several months pregnant, she was checked into the hospital for an irregular heart palpitation. It turned out that she had a faulty heart valve, and this news terrified Steve. Although Sandy was optimistic, Steve found it hard to bear the news. Later, when Sandy's condition worsened, Dr. Cox needed Steve to decide if they should deliver the baby which might kill Sandy.
