Roy has been a member of Ted's band "The Worthless Peons" for over seven years now. He is a talented A Capella singer, and is proud to show his skill off with his friends. He had recently been promoted at the end of J.D.'s first year at Sacred Heart. ("My Last Day")

- Roy is the only character in Scrubs to have had an actor replace him. Philip McNiven was absent from the episode "My Brother, My Keeper" and Robert Beckwith filled in, replacing him for the episode.
