It is unknown how long Rodney has been on the board of directors for Sacred Heart Hospital. In 2008, when Dr. Kelso's true age was revealed, Kelso knew he was going to be forced out of his Chief of Medicine job due to his age. Carla and Elliot rallied the staff around Dr. Kelso and got the board of directors to reverse their decision. Rodney told Dr. Kelso the news, but Bob told him to "shove it up his ass" and quit.
