When Pat's daughter Christine Rosel's MS started flairing up badly, Pat checked into Sacred Heart claiming to have her conditions. J.D. and Elliot realize he is faking, but when they find out they are only doing it to save money on insurance, they cheat the system and promise to get them medications.
Later, they return and Dr. Maddox has kicked them out of the hospital. After Maddox was fired, the Rosels returned to Sacred Heart and were issued medication. ("My Saving Grace")
