Nick was a promising and talented doctor of internal medicine at Sacred Heart. He was chosen to write a paper by Dr. Cox and impressed Dr. Kelso when he wrote some lectures. The ladies liked his "cute butt", and Elliot wanted to date him. This all made J.D. envious, but in the end Nick couldn't handle the pressure of a young child's imminent death, and quit.
