Bio[]
Molly Shannon was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio in the mid-1960s, and struggled in her acting career before hitting it big with Saturday Night Live. Molly appeared in a handful of TV series and movies before she made the cast of SNL in 1995. She was a cast member for 6 seasons. She's appeared in many SNL films including A Night at the Roxbury and Superstar. She has also appeared in the films Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Wet Hot American Summer, The Music Man, My Boss's Daughter with Tara Reid, Marie Antoinette, Talladega Nights, Scary Movie 4, and many more. She has also made appearances on several TV shows including 30 Rock, Ed with Tom Cavanagh, and has had recurring roles on Will & Grace, Sex & the City, Cracking Up, and American Dad!. Molly's most recent project was her NBC sitcom Kath & Kim, in which she starred as Kath.
Molly is currently married and has 2 children.
