Joseph is a patient at New Sacred Heart Hospital.

Joseph was Dr. Turk's first appendectomy patient. Dr Turk blew the cosmesis of the incision which resulting in scar tissue. 9 years later Joseph returned to New Sacred Heart to have the scar tissue removed. His surgery was delayed because of a rash from poisonwood-berry which is common on his native island of Haiti. ("Our White Coats")
