Stephanie Gooch is a ukulele player. She used to sing for children in paediatrics at Sacred Heart Hospital and New Sacred Heart Hospital.
Gooch is portrayed by Kate Micucci. She is first seen in the webisode "Screw You with Ted and the Gooch" and four episodes of Season Eight. She is last seen, along with Ted, in the Season Nine episode "Our Histories". It was revealed in Cougar Town that she had left Ted for Hooch.

Stephanie plays the ukulele and used to sing to the children in Sacred Heart's pediatric ward. Ted fell in love with her but was too shy to talk to her, so J.D. and Janitor banded together to help him talk to her, which he successfully did. ("My Lawyer's in Love") They started dating and enjoyed their time with each other, even though Ted knew she was too hot for him. ("My Absence") Later, Ted moved in with Gooch. ("My Chief Concern")
After New Sacred Heart was built, Ted and Gooch decided to leave the hospital and travel the country. ("Our Histories")

Stephanie and Ted were in love and had decided to travel the states together. They both loved singing, and they met at Sacred Heart. Later Gooch may have left Ted to be with Hooch (depending on whether or not you consider Sam Lloyd's cameo in the Cougar Town episode "Something Good Coming" as part of the Scrubs canon.)
