Eric Gerard Laneuville plays Dr. Lamar on Scrubs.


Born in New Orleans, Eric began acting in TV in 1968. He is best known for his role as orderly Luther Hawkins on St. Elsewhere, with My Sacrificial Clam co-stars Ed Begley Jr., William Daniels, and Stephen Furst. He has held recurring roles in Hill Street Blues and Stanford and Sons. Eric turned his attention away from acting to directing and began directing episodes of TV series such as St. Elsewhere, Midnight Caller, Doogie Howser, M.D., My Wife and Kids, Everybody Hates Chris, Girlfriends, and Ghost Whisperer. Eric was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for his directoral work on Lost, and won 2 Emmys, one for I'll Fly Away and L.A. Law.
