Ed Dhandapani was an intern at Sacred Heart Hospital, until he was fired.
About
Ed doesn't seem to really have the drive to be a doctor at Sacred Heart, but is there anyway. Instead of filling out patient reports, he chats online about Lost or plays on his cell phone. He fails to help a patient who is crashing. However, he is quite excellent at starting new trends and catch phrases. He doesn't care about furthering his medical knowledge other than what is necessary, which bothers doctors like Dr. Cox, who hates him because he is lazy. ("My ABC's") Later, to redeem himself, Dr. Cox makes him read a book on heart disorders, and subsequently two days later fires him on the spot for failing to answer which disorder Cox describes. ("My Lawyer's in Love")
