Dr. Lamar was a patient at Sacred Heart Hospital.
About[]
Dr. Lamar and three other doctors, Dr. Douglas, Dr. Bailey, and Dr. Franklyn were at a conference together and all contracted Legionnaires' Pneumonia. They all shared a bed at Sacred Heart, and J.D. was an intern assigned to them. They frightened him with stories of doctors who had gotten sick because of patients, and had a good laugh when J.D. left frightened. However, when J.D. admitted to Elliot that he was afraid of getting sick from a patient, he lost the respect of Dr. Lamar.
Trivia[]
- Stephen Furst, Ed Begley Jr., Eric Laneuville, and William Daniels were all regulars on the 1980s NBC show St. Elsewhere (with Laneuville as an orderly and later physician's assistant and the rest as doctors).
