Darryl is the son of Patricia. Somehow he gets cut by a knife, and Turk treats him as a favor for Carla.
Darryl initially thinks that Turk is a male nurse. Turk casually replies that he is a surgeon, showing that he has always been a role model as a black doctor, rather than being one because of the racially insensitive posters that Dr Kelso has been putting up.
