Although Brian isn't good with the ladies, he is a very talented pianist with a scholarship to Juliard. Turk tells him that his artistic talent will get the ladies. In surgery, Turk accidentally lacerated the brachial artery, causing him to have some nerve damage and limited use of his right hand. Turk initially did not take responsibility, but eventually Carla figured out he was lying and convinced him to come clean. ("His Story II") As he never appeared in the hospital again, it is unclear if the nerve damage in his arm ever healed.
